What to Consider When Choosing a Dumpster Size
Debris Type
Heavy debris like concrete and dirt go in smaller roll off bins for road safety, while bulky items like furniture may need a larger bin.
Amount of Trash
The dumpster's volume is reflected in yards. Keep in mind one cubic yard is equal to 5-6 13-gallon trash bags.
Space Available
Measure your delivery spot to ensure you have the clearance needed for placement as well as the space to fit the bin's dimensions.
10 Yard Dumpster
This is our smallest roll off bin size available. A 10 yard dumpster typically holds 50-60 33-gallon trash bags, making it ideal for small-scale projects, like cleaning out your basement. You can easily toss heavy debris over the container's low walls. We also recommend 10 yard dumpsters for dirt-only loads and concrete disposal to align with transportation laws and and help ensure you stay within the weight limit.

Roll Off Dumpster Size FAQs
What size roll off do I need?
The container size you need depends on the material you're tossing, how much you're throwing out and the space available at your drop-off location. Contact our team for advice on which dumpster size fits best with your project.
What sizes do roll off dumpsters come in?
Standard roll off container sizes are 10, 15, 20, 30 and 40 cubic yards. The dimensions and exterior may vary by manufacturer, but the volume is always accurate. Additionally, some locations may have non-traditional dumpster sizes, such as 12 and 50 yard bins.
What size roll off container fits in my driveway?
A standard roll off dumpster is 7.5 feet wide and 14-22 feet long. This size fits comfortably in most driveways. Keep in mind that drivers also need a 60-foot approach to the delivery spot, along with 23 feet of overhead clearance. If your driveway is inaccessible to our trucks due to obstacles like low-hanging power lines or tree branches, street placement may be an option.
How wide is a roll off dumpster?
A roll off dumpster is typically 7.5 feet wide.
